5 month mark!!!! Yay!!!

Hey everyone!! I hope that you are all doing awesome. It sounds like it was such an amazing weekend in the valley! Im so thankful for Heavenly Fathers hand in my familys life...I love my little man Rev and im so excited that he is "officially" ours. and of course.. welcome home Elder Jarvies :)) Sister Hall and I didnt get transferred so that is super awesome :) Our area got a set of elders so well be splitting the work in half! I hit my 5 month today so thats cool :)

I dont even know where to begin with this email. There was so much that went on this week: Sister's Conference with all of the mission, General Conference, and SO. MANY. MIRACLES. So leading up to this week, holy moly you know those weeks where its like "my oh my things can only go up because everything is seeming to go wrong". Well...Sister Pattison is so amazing and I know that we are called to the Mission President and his Wife for sure. They put together this conference for us and we got there and had a clothing exchange. After the clothing exchange, they fed us a fancy dinner and then she told us to get our comfiest socks out that she told us to bring. She led us to a room in the church that was set up with all these goodies, and a projector at the head of the room. She told us to put on our comfy socks, be normal for a sec, and take a break from the stress and work. Then... she puts on BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. The new one yes. I honestly wanted to just start crying haha because taking a sec to take a breath of air was exactly what I needed and Heavenly Father knew that. He knows us personally and I just love him so much.

One of the biggest miracles happened on Saturday night. We havent been able to get many appointments set up with people busy at work and university so we finally got on set up for Saturday night. We were going to take the LRT there and just walk to the library on Jasper Avenue where the appointment was. Well we were running late helping a member out and so it caused a big ol domino effect on our schedule so we ended up going to supper late. So we got out of supper and in order to make it to the lesson in time, we had to drive. Sooooo no biggie we drove to the city and usually we can always find a parking spot. Jasper Avenue is straight downtown main street basically but we are always able to find a parking spot around that area. Not that night. We drove around everywhere and we were getting so frustrated because we wanted to make it to this lesson and we literally just couldnt get there. So finally we just stopped looking and went home since it was that time. Come to find out... there was a terrorist attack on Jasper Avenue at that exact same time we wouldve been there. A Uhaul van plowed over some people on the sidewalks and had an ISIS flag in the car. Heavenly Father is real. In Conference, Elder Rasband said:
"What may appear to be a random chance is, in fact, overseen by a loving Father in Heaven. … The Lord is in the small details of our lives, and those incidents and opportunities are to prepare us to lift our families and others as we build the kingdom of God on earth." Who knows if the Uhaul wouldve hit us or not, but I know that there is definitely no coincidences. It wasnt a coincidence that we were late and couldnt walk there, and it wasnt a coincidence we couldnt find a spot to park. Im so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father!

Conference was sooooo amazingg. Oh my goodness I loved it. Elder Hollands talk was my favorite and I am so thankful for all of our awesome leaders!!! :))) I love you all so much. Heres another quote that I found this week while reading a talk by Neil A. Maxwell...

"There is nothing more powerful than prayer, nothing more masculine or more feminine than prayer. There was more power processed and expended on that single night in Gethsemane, in that small garden, than all the armies and navies have ever epended in all the battles on the land and sea and in the air in all of human history. The catalyst of prayer helped Jesus to cope with suffering, and by his suffering he emancipated all men from death and made possible eternal life. This cardinal fact about the central act of human history, the Atonement, ought to give us pause, therefore, as we face our challenges individually"

I loved that and know that Heavenly Father hears our prayers <3

Have a good week <3
