Happy Halloween! week 26

happy Halloween everyone!! i hope your week has been great! this week was good and this coming week is going to be even better with a new missionary and a baptism!! Sister Hall and I will be tripan training for at least a week with a sister that is from Toronto waiting on her visa to go to SLC Temple Square mission!! Super stoked about that!! :)) transfers are next week so we arent sure who will stay and who will leave but we will see :) There is snow on the ground today!! We will be having a Zone Halloween party, carving pumpkins and what not so that should be a blast- then we have to be in our house by 7 tonight!

where do i even begin? haha so Keita. He is so pumped to get baptized, holy cow. Its legit!! Anyway, while preparing him to be baptized.. we had so much to teach him and we definitely didnt think we could get it in on our time table. So we pushed it back to November 18th. Then we have a lesson to tell him about pushing it back and he tells us that he called off work, he got a haircut for it, and that he bought some white shirts lol. So we were just like oh myyy goodness there is no way we can push it back without breaking his heart. Soooo we taught him basically everything in 2 weeks. Its soo cool because he is so prepared. He is literally living every single commandment already like the Word of Wisdom, Law of Chastity, everything!! It was sooo funny though because we were teaching him the Word of Wisdom and we asked him if he had any problems and he told us yes. So oh my. My heart was in my stomach and I was just sick to think that we'd have to tell him to stop whatever it was for 3 weeks and that he wouldnt be able to get baptized yet. Hahahahahah anyway we ask him what problem he had and turns out it was chocolate milk. Oh I was trying not to laugh so hard! He is too funny!! We have another guy on date for December 2 so thatll be awesome for him!

Quite a few funny things happened this week! We thought it would be fun to ride the bus up to northern edmonton for a supper appointment and ended up getting stuck up there! it was quite the adventure between walking, LRTing, and getting ride from a member to get back to south edmonton where we live. For all you that think im going city girl, definitely not. hahaha. Another adventure we had was I found this guy on the LRT and any way, long story short he said that if we went to his church service and still disagreed- he would join our church faster than we could get back home haha. So we got permission to go and it was very interesting. It really really really made me thankful for the Church and the Spirit that is felt simply in the chapel. It gave me alot of drive and motivation to preach the gospel with boldness to those we talk to, because what we have is so precious. Im so extremely grateful for the knowledge of the fullness of the gospel!! I was reading a talk by Neal A. Maxwell called "But for a Small Moment" (you guys should take a read). I loved this quote that says: "Some of us will have to be most courageous, not when we're alone, but when we're in a crowd. Whatever form the test takes, we must be willing to pass it. We must reach breaking points without breaking. We must be willing, if necessary, to give up our lives - not because we have a disdain for life as some do, but even though we love life - because we are servants of him who did that in such an infinite way for all of us."

Im so thankful for our Savior. Im so thankful to be out here on a mission, even in this cold(its not above freezing this week) and dark(literally the sun isnt coming up til like 8:30) place of Canada so that I could see the Saviors hand and gain a deeper conviction and conversion of His Atonement in my life. Have a great week and stay warm :)) Happy Halloween!!  i love you guys so much!!
