week 24

heyy everyone! i hope that your week was great and that you stayed warm :)

This week was a good one! we had a total of TEN investigators in our ward on Sunday. TEN! 5 of them were ours so that was the coolest thing ever. YSA (young single adult) is sooo prime, holy moly. We found alot this week on the LRT! Other than that, nothing crazy happened. Our investigators are doing well and what not. We have Zone Conference tomorrow so that will be fun!  Hahahaha one of the investigators we took to church, I was sitting right by him and I was wanting to explain something to him like a term someone used or something so i started whispering to him and he gave me a big ol "shhh!" in front of everyone. I was trying not to bust out laughing because usually its the missionary trying to tell the investigator to be quiet, not the other way around. It was hilarious haha!

 Sister Hall and I have been companions for 2 months so we celebrated at a restaurant called Coras! It. is. the. best. thing. in the WORLD!! I wish they had them in the states because holy moly it is soooo good. Oh this is something kinda funny... theres this guy named Brad in the ward and he is very big on his missionary work and yesterday he had us meet him to give him a Book of Mormon to give to the Mayor of Edmonton. Well he sure did! haha he has a picture of him and the mayor holding the Book of Mormon. So that was sooo funny!! But ya.. this week we just work, work, worked and thats about it :)) Last night we were in the mall for supper and looking around and a member came up to us that we had never met and paid for it! it was the sweetest thing ever, and idk how many times that has happened. on my mission ive had people buy supper for us in public like that, drop off supper, and even surprise drop off a box of groceries. My mission has definitely taught me the power of service. I dont think we realize how we are all truly Gods instruments by the things we say and do for others. we can all be an answer to someones prayer. In church someone told us this:

"Theres alot of darkness in the world, but darkness is simply the absense of light. So if we keep focusing on the dark, light wont exist...but if we all shine a little brighter, there will be more light"

I love the scripture in Doctrine and Covenants that says:
"Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for if ye are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail."

Hi everyone!!! I hope your week was super awesome!! Mine was pretty great!! Sooo Caitlin was baptized this week and it was so awesome!!! Our other investigator backed out last minute. It was really sad but we know that she has a testimony and that she will be baptized one day. But Caitlin. Holy moly she is awesome!!! Idk how many of you saw her testimony on Facebook but the growth she has made because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ... ITS SO AWESOME. When we first met her, holy moly it was so awkward because the Spirit was so strong in each lesson but she didnt know what in the world she was feeling because it was so foreign. Once she accepted that it was the Spirit and realized that this was Gods plan for her, she dropped everything that would hold her back in the blink of an eye. I love her so much!! 5 month mark!!!! Yay!!!

Hey everyone!! I hope that you are all doing awesome. It sounds like it was such an amazing weekend in the valley! Im so thankful for Heavenly Fathers hand in my familys life...I love my little man Rev and im so excited that he is "officially" ours. and of course.. welcome home Elder Jarvies :)) Sister Hall and I didnt get transferred so that is super awesome :) Our area got a set of elders so well be splitting the work in half! I hit my 5 month today so thats cool :) I dont even know where to begin with this email. There was so much that went on this week: Sister's Conference with all of the mission, General Conference, and SO. MANY. MIRACLES. So leading up to this week, holy moly you know those weeks where its like "my oh my things can only go up because everything is seeming to go wrong". hi everyone!!! I hope that you have all had a great week and are safe from all these natural disasters!  This last week was good :) it was very busy and its going to get even more busy with the 2 baptisms coming up this weekend and 12 preset appointments we have. Its going to be a fun week! Our investigators are doing great and we are so pumped for this next Saturday!!! so life is good for everyone :) nothing really crazy happened this week. We have really grown close to the woman in the hospital and it was so cool to see how much she has grown. The first time we visited her, she was hiding the Book of Mormon around her roommates and was embarrassed of her religion. This last time we went and visited her, she had us bring extra copies of the Book of Mormon so she could write her testimony in them and give it to them!
