Week 16

heyyy everyone!! I cant believe summer is officiallyy over! time flies wowza. so let me tell you.. life is good here in the city!

So i was super nervous going to the big city of edmonton! I LOVE IT. Edmonton is soooo gorgeous. Sister Hall and Sister Blackburn are my companions and oh my heavens I just love them so much!! Our apartment is on th 10th floor so we have this gorgeous view of the city and we drive a 2017 Rav4. Are we blessed or what!!! Its been a blast pinkwashing this area and we've went only 1 day without teaching a lesson so its been such a good experience! I love love love it!! We go finding by going on the LRT. Idk what that stands for but its like the city railing system. It is so much fun and I love it!! It seems like itd be scary because its one on one but its awesome because you just pop a squat by someone and talk to them. Its so  much more natural and Ive noticed as you just get to know them, a topic of the gospel always gets brought up and it takes off from there :) Oh my heavens!  I almost forgot. Every so often, we switch train cars and we all go throughout the car so one particular time we all looked across the car and motioned to get off. Well Sister Blackburn was at one end, Me at the other, and Sister Hall in the middle. Sister Hall and I met at the middle door and Sister Blackburn tried to go through the other door and it wouldnt open and we hopped off and it took off without her getting off. It was so funny! Good thing we have protocal for that. We were a little too confiddent in saying we would never let that happen, well we were very much humbled in that area.  on Thursdays we do service and we get to go to the Ronald McDonald house and help out there. As we were touring it, it really just hit me of how ya know..the world always seems like its so bad and what not..but there are SO MANY good people. It was so touching..the Edmonton Ronald McDonald house is so big, I coudnt believe it. She was telling us how they keep it going and she mentioned how there is this airline here in Canada that gives each family a ticket or two (i cant remember) for free anywhere if they need it but they have never publicized that. I thought of the scriptures that talks about laying our treasures up in heaven instead of laying up for ourselves on earth. I thought that was so cool. Okay so one thing I learned today is quite hilarious in our eyes... so we were giving one of our investigators a chapel tour and holy moly you guys. The Spirit was SO STRONG. Like wowza. We ended in the chapel and all of us were feeling so peaceful and you could see it on all of our faces. We asked our investigator if she felt that peaceful feeling and she says "All Im feeling right now is very uncomfortable". It was thee most awkward moment of our lives hahahah. So anyway we teach her about the Restoration again so she can have a very solid foundation and the Spirit again was so strong in the lesson. The scriptures that say if we open our mouths, they will be filled with what to say.. well that was being fulfilled like crazy in that lesson. But anytime we would ask a self reflecting question, it was just so awkward. We learned that all our purpose is to bring the Spirit, invite others to come unto Christ, and help them know they are loved. We cant make people feel the Spirit because Heavenly Father gave them their agency and we cant exercise that for them. Dont worry, she still came to church and all is well! :))

 It was really cool to see how inspired Presidents decision was in putting us here. We had 2 investigators at church on Sunday and it was amazing to see the people that were just waiting for sisters. YSA has been a blast so far. At church, it seemed like EVERYONE was an RM. Im not talking guys here, Im talking girls. Before we know it, the amount of sisters and elders out will be equal! Its so cool. Anyway, I hope that you all have a great week. I love you all SO MUCH!! Thanks for all your love and support.

hi everyone!!! I hope that you have all had a great week and are safe from all these natural disasters!  This last week was good :) it was very busy and its going to get even more busy with the 2 baptisms coming up this weekend and 12 preset appointments we have. Its going to be a fun week! Our investigators are doing great and we are so pumped for this next Saturday!!! so life is good for everyone :) nothing really crazy happened this week. We have really grown close to the woman in the hospital and it was so cool to see how much she has grown. The first time we visited her, she was hiding the Book of Mormon around her roommates and was embarrassed of her religion. This last time we went and visited her, she had us bring extra copies of the Book of Mormon so she could write her testimony in them and give it to them! heyyy everyone! i hope you all had a great week. it was reallllyyyy weird when i realized that it was Thanksgiving and we were gonna have turkey dinner a whole month early. But it was awesome and I am so grateful to be here in Canada, even if its just a tad chilly! this week was a bit of a tough one but there was a lot of miracles for sure! there always is :) we found 2 new investigators! Ones name is Keita and he is from Accra, Ghana. Haha ya I about died when he said he was Ghana if you couldnt picture that! He is really awesome and sooo prepared. I met him at the bus stop and I got to talking to him and made him miss his bus (oops). Hes been reading the Book of Mormon and he has no doubt that it is the word of God with the Bible. It was really cool because he started talking about a scripture in John that talks about how Christ is our shephard and the next verse is when Christ is talking about how he would visit the people in the Americas (John 10:16) and how there are other &q

Hi everyone!!! I hope your week was super awesome!! Mine was pretty great!! Sooo Caitlin was baptized this week and it was so awesome!!! Our other investigator backed out last minute. It was really sad but we know that she has a testimony and that she will be baptized one day. But Caitlin. Holy moly she is awesome!!! Idk how many of you saw her testimony on Facebook but the growth she has made because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ... ITS SO AWESOME. When we first met her, holy moly it was so awkward because the Spirit was so strong in each lesson but she didnt know what in the world she was feeling because it was so foreign. Once she accepted that it was the Spirit and realized that this was Gods plan for her, she dropped everything that would hold her back in the blink of an eye. I love her so much!!
